I was always told that we were where happiness was. You know "The Great Plan of Happiness" but I was never happy. I was sober and wasn't engaging in risky sexual behaviors but I knew I wasn't happy being Mormon.

I found a loving wife and thought that was where their happiness was. I did find some happiness with her, but deduced that LDS Inc. wasn't a requirement for that happiness.

Hahahaha! I loved being snowed in on Sundays, guilt free Sunday off. I also liked conference for the same reason. We weren't one of the crazies who watched all weekend long.

to finish moving most of my stuff into what would be "our" apartment.

My Jack-Mo future MIL asked me cautiously, "But what about church on Sunday?" Not thinking, I replied breezily, "No worries. It's conference. That's like getting a free weekend." I'll never forget how she laughed at that one! We bonded a bit in that moment.

And I was still a relatively active member of LDS, Inc. at that time. Already moving toward the EXIT sign and didn't even realize it yet.

Oxymoron....anyone who claims to be happily Mormon has no concept of the meaning of the word "happy" and/or is delusional.

Happiness within TSCC is an illusion. It's all smoke and mirrors. Real happiness is being a human being and living life in awe of the universe. It's figuring stuff out on your own terms.

In the words of an old Beatles song..."Happiness is a warm gun." Seems like it in the Moridor. The suicide rate is through the roof. There is a reason for that.

That is a form of happiness for me. In my case I shunned them. These of "my people" don't take a hint and so I would have had to be a dick to get shunned by them. Not worth the effort. I figured out that they want me to respect their opinions one way - mine is not appreciated.

Also this was a lot for me.

Moving away from Morg parents

1000 miles away and I can attempt happiness without their happiness killing false sense of a mythical loving family that never existed but is their form of happiness.

Unhappiest people I know are my Tim family members. Miserable, angry, broke, filled with guilt and shame over whatever. Church is a rock they push up hill every day, all day.

Happiness is not having to "attain" some "level of worthiness" in an attempt at "perfection" and a shot at a Celestial "kingdom" of glory in this life.

Being on less anti-depressants than Sister Knowitall.

LOL! Fast and Testimony Meeting is like confusing modern chemical miracles with "The Spirit" in Sister Knowitall's form of happiness.

And what is with gods "plan" of happiness, and "patterns"??
Why does life have to be scripted? (because it's not)

Cause the truest places on the planet are scripted! The Temple is where you learn to script your life! It is God's plan. A "Day Planner" is as essential to your happiness as the scriptures!

Happiness in the Morg is that smug feeling you get when you have everyone fooled into thinking you are soooooo righteous and spiritual and so Heavenly Father has blessed you with soooooo many blessings. Gleefully you delight in the fact that everyone wants to be you. And then you take your antidepressants when no one is around and get ready to be happy again next Sunday.

Meeting goals and being patted on the back for it.
Being told that Heavenly Father is pleased with your work.

That's the only worthy form of happiness in this life as a morgbot. Every other pleasure or joy is a counterfeit.

Happiness in mormon-dumb is about being in the right oblivious mind numbed groove. You might pull it off for a while but then reality wakes you up.
