Review of Book of Mormon musical

I saw the B of M musical yesterday in Ottawa. It was great -- stripped the LDS church to the bone, I thought. Didn't hit on tithing or huge time commitments (unless I missed it), but clearly showed LDS church to be a "stupid cult".

Singing and dancing were great, and I loved how JS had a shovel for gold digging in pretty much every scene the character was in! LOL The "all-American angel" (Moroni) was a hoot, too.

Amazing theatre with a few great messages for everyone, I thought, including how there are things that really matter in this world, but not necessarily a silly book that JS dug up in his backyard.

finally listened to the soundtrack and laughed the whole time. Now I have to see it. To bad it doesn't come around to my town for a whole year. Maybe I'll just have to take a little trip to go see it.
