the church of quotes

All i ever hear at church is people quoting other people. This person said this that person said that. The quotes are never things jesus said mainly what lds apostles said.

My favorite:

Long ago I entered an elevator at the COB. In each elevator was
a small saying that they used to change regularly. It always
quoted some GA.

The one that stood out was:

"Seneca said, '[some quote of Seneca's]'" -- Stirling W. Sill

They couldn't put a quote of Seneca's up, but they could put a
quote of Stirling W. Sill that did nothing but quote Seneca.
