Some things would be abandoned, converted and or built over. Fir years I used to see empty payphone stands and booths when the cell phone became king.

There is finally a building big enough for a hotel where I live.
Maybe my MIL will stay there, instead of my house.

Hope the kitchen is still in the building. The hotel is going to need it.

If all the lies got exposed, and the Morg was forced to admit it was all a fraud, then the church would just become another protestant religion. A good deal of the members would stay for the sense of community. Heck, if they admitted it was a fraud, and dropped a good deal of the lunacy, some of us, myself included, might even return, provided the new church did not try to micromanage my life, but remained a simple social structure.

or put another way: could LDS temples really be converted into luxury hotels, and ward houses converted into community centers? well, lets give it a nice try! and will staunch LDS find some other way to micro manage each other and annoy the Hell out of outsiders?
