O/T Homeless Girl Contends for the Intel Science Prize

17 year old Samantha Garvey has been named a semi-finalist for the Intel Science Prize. While there are many semi-finalists (61 on her native Long Island alone,) this girl's story is really special.

good for her. really. that's awesome.

i don;t know that intel is really looking for but 2.5 years collecting data says a lot about her potential.
