Other boards report a substantial part of elder uchtdor's bio/resume has just been deleted from lds.org -it had contained his role in negotiation of hostages release in a german airline rescue from terrorists mission.

if it was true why was it deleted? is it paul dunnish?

ISTR an analysis a couple of years ago somewhere that cast doubt on the story. I'll see if I can find it.

https://www.lds.org/prophets-and-apostles/what-are-prophets/bio/dieter-f-uchtdorf?lang=eng

Doesn't seem to be deleted here. However, on the main bio ( https://www.lds.org/church/leader/dieter-f-uchtdorf?lang=eng ) it never appeared (I checked www.archive.org and went back to when the page was first archived in 2011).

What about the part when he was inactive for a few years, and only returned to activity while in pilot training in Arizona? They don't seem to ever mention this.
