on my first 4th of July out of the church. My first Independence Day since my personal declaration of independence.

How are you celebrating today?

Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty, free at last!

I agree and am thankful for my religious freedom and I want to thank all of those who helped secured it and to those who are keeping it that way. Now if only those religious nuts would allow me to practice my chosen religion the way I see fit.

Thanks for posting this thread and helping me remember to celebrate today how very grateful I am, also, to be living in the land of free and have the liberty to worship how I chose, I, too, am grateful for those who have given life, limb, and emotional hardship to secure this gift.

America may not be perfect, but neither are its dwellers, and there have been countless amazing, hardworking people who have been mentors and examples. I feel very, very fortunate and blessed to call America my home.

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July everyone

Dallin Oaks is too! He just isn't a big fan of civil rights.

"A larger threat is the way various official actions at the state and federal level are overshadowing the free exercise of religion by making it subordinate to other newly found “civil rights.”"

I am thankful for my own personal freedom from religion.

Ron, I'm grateful that you are here.
I get a small chuckle every time I read your username.
