Listen up, Mormons. Every time anyone says anything negative about you, you blame it on the church. You are sure the person is anti-Mormon, in Satan's employ, and against LDS Inc. Why are you blaming the church? Most people who aren't LDS know very little about the church. What they are reacting to is YOU. Not Mormonism...YOU.

You know who you are. You are the Mormon who crassly talks in his normal voice through the movie or performance, despite getting dirty looks from those surrounding you. You are the Mormon who lets their kid run wild and unkempt because you are too busy at meetings or too self-absorbed to parent. You are the Mormon who is only friendly because there is an opportunity to baptize someone = then you reject the person completely because they refuse to comply with your narrow religious view of life. You are the Mormon who snubs your neighbor because they have a coffee maker. You are the Mormon who arrogantly walks all over people on the PTA committee, pushing your agenda through because you are sure you are God's favorite child and people need to listen to you. You are the one with the weird underwear.

Maybe people just don't like you because you treat others like crap - or at least are clueless in your disregard for the feelings and beliefs of others. You want to say anyone who calls you on your personal poor performance is doing it because they are anti-Mormon. But maybe it's time to wake up to the fact that they just don't like YOU. The Mormon culture may encourage your bad behavior but it doesn't require it. You could be a decent person if you wanted to. Maybe people aren't anti-church, they are just anti-people-behaving-badly. And that means you. Wake up, cupcake.
