I'll pick Coraline. In order to be able to live with her "perfect" parents, she must exchange her eyes for buttons. Her "perfect" parents turn evil once she refuses. She realizes she would rather have the love her imperfect parents give her than close her eyes and become a mere rag doll.

For me it is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I felt so repressed the first 18 years of my life (like an old man) but after I left I started to enjoy life and feel like life is only getting better.

But, the episode of Futurama where the evil brains invade earth always reminded me of mormon meetings.

Those are both really good!
In the movie "Tangled", Repunzel is in conflict about leaving her tower of safety. She is gleeful at her freedom, then the next moment she is in despair and calls herself a "despicable human being" as she lays crying with her face in the dirt, wracked with guilt for running away and leaving her tower. The next moment elated and freeee! Very appropriate also.

Well, it's too obvious.. but SAVED!

The mandy moore character was every laurel's president you ever know... and I really felt a lot like the jenna malone character growing up.... If you haven't seen it you MUST!

I love the part where Mandy Moore screeches "I am filled with Christ's love!!!" and throws a bible at Jenna. Too funny. Great flick.

The Matrix. We've swallowed the "red pill" (and now see the world for what it really is) and the creatures in charge aren't happy about it.

Everyone is swept along in the insanity even though in the end it makes no sense.

And of course the gym teacher was an incredible TBM stereotype.

I liked it.

1984- Amazing story, amazing reality. My TBM exbf that just left for his mission loves that book. Shame he can't look past it and see the message relays not only to current government, but also to his religion.

The point being not that the church lies, but that even if God exists, it's still wrong for Him to dictate our wills.

Did anyone mention "The Village" yet -- it was freaky, right-on.

Notice how the virgin the creature is carrying has Mormon features and notice the resemblance the creature has to Boyd K. Packer.

Any "Zombie" movie fits perfectly. A bunch of mindless, emotionless people are trying to find people who are not like them, and convert them into zombies too. Their thirst to do this is so strong they will resort to any means possible to do this. The zombies are easily defeated when alive people out number them, but when the zombies attack in mass the alive person gets worn down, and turned into a zombie.
