Someone posted on FB a pic of women at the UVU presentation yesterday of two women saluting the flag (US) with their right hand above the breast with the palm facing the ground. Anyone know why they would salute this way?

Maybe they just feel that placing a hand flat against the breast is a bit too suggestive or forward ... In spite of the setting.

That was one of the suggestions made. It looks weird. It almost looks like they are saluting a military person except from the chest. lol.
