What if you have read the book multiple times, prayed about it with full sincerity of heart (Moroni's promise), and still came to the conclusion that it is a steaming pile of shit?

Most Mormons don't ever consider that the Book of Mormon has very little to do with the LDS church. Even if you read it and decide that it has value, you still have to come to terms with Mormon history and its very strange doctrines and policies that never appear in the in the B of M.
