I used to hear stories of how the spirit prevented members doing things that might harm them or violate their beliefs. And there's the belief that God won't temp a person one's ability to resist.

So since the endowment commits members to various things including avoiding all loud laughter, are faithful members physically able to type LOL, LMAO, or anything expressing loud laughter?

I mean, wouldn't the spirit prompt them to not type those things? And maybe stop them from typing them? Like maybe by zapping their fingers? Or giving them a feeling of sickness? :-).

P.S. If a temple Mormon does type LOL or actually laughs loudly, isn't that a violation of temple covenants? Wouldn't they get their recommend revoked? I'm just saying that laughing seems like a pretty serious offense that would likely put a person "in my power". (Said with a sinister voice while clenching a fist)

No, but I did like Mormonthink on FB recently and there was some crazy TBM responding to everybody's posts with long winded, typical responses and he never understood when he had lost the argument.
