Yes, that struck me as interesting also. Would love to see the General Authority benefits along side those of a regular employee.

Let's see.... regular cash rewards for not spilling the beans that the church is a scam.

Having your property taxes on all houses paid for you if you don't spill the beans that the church is a scam

Regular publishing royalties if you write at least one book that shows the church in a favorable light

Reimbursements for taking your wife and kids and grandkids anywhere in the world we send you

etc. etc. etc.

Whenever the CES system didn't want to pay for my professional development I got the speech about how "sacred" tithing money was. Geesh!

No way this could have happened with a "religion" which avoids even the appearance of supporting people they don't agree with about "morals."

Am I glad their money went to this group, yes. Does it make sense? No, unless you just see LDS Inc. like other on this list - for profit companies who are in business to make money.
