Since we have discussed growth statistics for LDS Inc., I think it would be interesting to know growth statistics for RfM. How many people visit this site vs. 5 years ago? 2 years ago?

I would assume that this site is growing in popularity but I have no data to back that up.

Would anyone care to comment?

I will try to get some stats this weekend. Last I checked, we nearly doubled from last year. It fluctuates with the news. If a major article on Mormonism appears we have a spike that more than doubles normal volume. We get a large amount of traffic due to our surprisingly high Google ranking.

to somehow calculate the loss of revenue to the Corporate Sole aka So Called One and Only True Church directly attributed to Mormons who woke up and smelled the coffee after visiting here.

We are talking serious bank here folks. RfM is soon heading into twenty years so just imagine how many intelligent, highly productive tithe payers have stopped all donations to the Morg due to reading and pondering the posts here.

Ouch!!!! Says Mr. Monson's money changers.

If only Eric, Concrete Zipper and Susan I/S the moderators could lay hold of one percent of that case flow, they'd retire and sail off into the tropical sunset aboard the good barge, oops I mean ship, Lolli-Exmo.

On a personal basis, it just feels so good to participate regularly on this board and assist others in any small way to see Mormonism as a black hole of spirituality.

I've been here since 2005. I'll say one thing. This board sure moves a helluva lot faster than it did then!

;o)

one 'situation' that has good/bad:

for newbies, some of the 'old - familiar' topics are New to them;

for us oldies, I sometimes get tired of repeated exposure, same responses.

however, as time goes, we 'oldies' have more, deeper info/insight to share with the newbies...

Can you track the people who read, or just the people who post?

I think there are probably a lot of people who read regularly and never post. My thirty something daughter doesn't post any more, but she still reads and we often discuss things we've read on the board.

This board is a good "one stop shop" sight for Mormon news.

I've sure enjoyed this site since I discovered it a couple months ago.

Until a few weeks ago we didn't even realize we didn't have a way to check anymore. We went a couple of years and didn't even think about it. If we help one person a year we are happy :)

and they'll lose a lot more than that on our future income, and on what our kids will never pay.

I have been here since mid 2000's sometimes posting heavily sometimes not at all, but I know lots of people who check in every day and never post.

It is definitely moving much faster than it used to.

My posts disappear to the 2nd page in no time. NOT that I'm a boring poster! LOL
