I was able to access the station's digital feed directly on my iPhone through the ooTunes radio app. If you have a radio app, do a search for the call letters of the station CJYE.
. . . in grasping the concept of criminal fraud, under UK law, being committed in the name of religion with the intent of accruing financial gain (as opposed to the unrelated issue of faithfully believing in religious doctrine itself).
There was so much about this matter that Tom could have more deeply delved into but, quite frankly, Drew wasn't prepared to ask informed follow-up questions and was, well, kind of flip about the whole thing, IMO. This matter obviously needs to be adjudacated in a court of law under the guidance of a competent magistrate, not by a relatively uninformed radio talk show host. That opportunity is now, of course, on the horizon.
At any rate, given the circumstances, I still think that Tom and Tal did a pretty good job, especially since no one (including the show's host) were encumbered by the Holy Ghost.

Yes, that is true. The host was uninformed and seemed concerned that other religions would be subject to the same lawsuits. Tal's example of young missionaries going out to convert people when the church has not informed them of the facts, in fact intentionally withheld the facts about things like the Book of Abraham and the Book of Mormon was very helpful for people who don't understand this.
Tal's question to Tom about whether the church knew about this and had been party to the hearings was helpful. I had thought they were. I didn't realize that they won't be offically involved until March 14, but that Tom thinks they probably had advance information.
Tom pointed out that he does not count himself as a Mormon but that the church counts him, and others like him, as one of their 15 Million members. That they probably have more like 5 Million. I think that was good to get in. He and Tal made a couple of jokes about him being a God so they can't get rid of him. lol
I'm just glad that Tom was able to give everyone context for how serious the charges are and how rigorous the process was to bring them to this point. Hopefully we can start hearing less from all of the self-appointed lawyers on this board.
Listening to Tom makes me feel the spirit. I'm not kidding.
why this is not an attack on monson - he is the head of the organization and that's why he was summoned - also, that others may also be summoned (that part warmed my heart!)
why this is not a lawsuit but a criminal investigation
why the 7 items in the summons can show that TSCC knows they are withholding critical information from members/investigators
why this is not a frivolous lawsuit that will immediately be thrown out and gave some background on how much work it took to get to this point
2. That he received a second anointing so was a god.
3. That this is a criminal case, and that he was questioned in court by the judge handling the case.
4. That other religions would not face the same type of fraud charges because they are not claiming things that are demonstrably false. Book of Abraham used as example.
5. That there are documents and so on that are purposely hidden by the church authorities. Book of Abraham papyrus example.
