A little gem from yesterdays bulletin:

Temple Service Opportunity
During the two weeks in march that the LA Temple is closed, our stake has been invited to help with the cleaning and maintenance, both inside the temple and out. Due to the distance, our members may participate on any of the open days. Temple service dates - Mar 11-14 and 17-21.

Instructions to Volunteers - Current temple recommends are required for work inside the temple. However there is work outside on the grounds and in the temple apartments where a temple recommend is not required.

Requested: Adults or young adults - no youth, please.
Hours: 6am to 1pm.
Report to: Baptismal entrance on west side of the temple.
Clothing: If working outside, wear work clothing and comfortable shoes.
For those working inside the temple, white clothes will be provided.
Food: Please bring a lunch, the cafeteria will be closed.

Report at 6am, but this is a "distance" away. What time would people have to leave to get there at 6?

For anyone traveling across LA, getting there by 6 would be your best bet. Otherwise you might not get there at all.

Free upkeep for God's little piggy bank. Tax free, free maintenance, valuable real estate with the option to raise money through re-finance. No wonder they build these things.

For anyone coming in on the 91 you'd better leave by 4 am

Note how they are too cheap to furnish a lunch and members have to pay for their own transportation.

Also, since when do members have to clean the temple apartments?
UNBELIEVABLE!

And what's up with doing the outside work?
Too cheap to pay landscapers?
