dagny, I just saw you have moved to Alabama

Welcome to the Bible Belt

We are in the part of Florida referred to as L.A. or Lower Alabama :-)

It takes getting to use to.

When we moved here our neighbour came over and no kidding her first question was "Are you saved?"

Didn't even introduce herself. Not even how are you? or welcome to the neigbourhood just wanted to know if I was saved :-)

We used to joke the FLA stood for Further Lower Alabama.

hey Helen ... the southern RfM are coming out of the woodwork today. we have one from tuscaloosa, some from GA, one from MS, at least one from TN. I'm from NA ... northern alabama. maybe we'll have a southeast RfM conference some day? you never know!

Count me in on that Southeast meetup

I'm in Memphis. Used to live in Northern Alabama (the Shoals area). I always thought it would be good to try to have a meetup somewhere around Huntsville. Would be kind of center for people from Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham, NA, Chattanooga, etc.

Yes, moving out here from Utah sometimes feels like only the name of the fundie wack jobs has changed. But there's a little more diversity than Utah (the operative word here is "little").
