Chris Peterson graduated college in Cali (UC Davis), lots of Mormons there; his last post was Boise State, lots of Mormons there...
I don't think the UW pres has much say on selection, it's pretty much up to the athletic department Director (no info on him either).

As a former Husky, I am elated he decided to enter the Pac-12. Maybe we'll have a chance to finally upset Oregon.
