Well today I got to go witness the dunking of my middle child. Besides a laughable performance by the missionaries (a very tired and uninspiring account of the first vision, this most miraculous of events that elder #2 couldn't remember the words to) and some droning talks about her new invisible friend, I was quite annoyed that her new bishop felt the need to tell her that god expects her to be perfect. Gee thanks bush, way to put the pressure on an 8 year old. Sigh, score one for the bad guys...

On a more humorous note nobody seemed to notice I was giving them all the second token of the aaronic priesthood when I shook their hands.

That's too bad. So they push "being perfect" even at that young age. Is it because they don't discuss forgiveness much in Mormonism, do they?

Oh no forgiveness was all wrapped up in being perfect

I would have a talk with her about that. That expectation is too much to put on anyone.
