Or so the author of THE MUSHROOM AND THE CROSS believes.
I have wondered why there is no common occurence that
all beliefs and religions can agree upon. For
instance, life existing after death. If a life
form could return after death and many persons
could verify it, then all the people of earth
could argue and say "sure we know that life goes
on after you die but we still don't agree on how
or why" but this hasn't happened so we have no basis
for a beginning. I wonder how come theres no spooky
shit happening in our days. No devil possession or
heavenly manifestations in our age of photography
video recorders and TV. All we get are wackos
who think they have been abducted by aliens. If
today's experiences were recorded and passed down
for future generations, what will our progeny
worship or place their faith in? What will they
value from our day?
