the movie is much more a metaphor about beliefs vs. reality--and the dilema of sticking to your beliefs because they are safe, but at the expense of facing reality.
Fantastic comments. When I saw Truman touch the wall (sky) I had a flash about a Star Trek episode; For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky. They were inside a space-ship
and tought it was a planet. The original Star Trek pilot The Cage was similar. The Talosians can make us live anything in our mind only.
Capt. Pike prefers to die instead of living in a "golden cage". Of course some compared Truman to the Prisonner. The difference is Truman doesn't know he's a prisonner.
Satan also told humans they were prisonners of god! I think he was right. We are prisonners of an imaginary God, thats even worse.
Its like the I am a dreammer who think this is the real life. His universe was a "garden of Eden", The producer was god, the girl was satan. Is there room for a sequel or a pre-quel?
