We created the gods. It isn't hard to eliminate them.

LOL. Certainly this is the reason atheists don't believe in a personal God. They'd rather be 'unethical' than follow the example of say the Biblical God. ;) Good one.
So here's the question. Is there an infinite regress of causes, meaning that we cannot point to a beginning of time? If you don't want to accept the possibility that there is a creator, an architect of our existence, can you point to some final cause? Or are you more mentally comfortable not answering this question? "Oh, I'm in no position to speculate on ultimate causes. I prefer to focus on the known, the tangible."
We've been down this road before. You still haven't explained how something far more complex came into being in order to explain the complexity.
(p.s.- would it bother you to know that William Occam was a Christian?)
No. A person's arguments shouldn't be judged based solely on that person's beliefs.
