I could examine some of what you said: you say that god only punishes people based on what he has revealed to them. Then you say we all deserve hell (because of how god created us?) and god is being "nice" by saving some of us from the eternal torment he designed. However I have no desire to explore further into the masochistic illness behind that bizarre concept. So I'll just summarize where we've reached.

Basically the thrust of your last post terminates this thread (at least the reason-based-search portion of it). You essentially state that god can do what he wants because he is god. Brushing aside all reason based argument by asserting "god's divinity" leaves reason (and me) far behind. Responding to my observation that your god is sadistic, by claiming that he is god and can save who he wants is just a plea to your faith in an attempt to explain away the unreasonable.

The whole point of this thread was to examine a bit of whether the christian god-view is reasonable in the first place. To answer that critique by asserting your god's divinity is circular and begs the question.

We've covered enough by now that I'm sure the readers of this thread can draw their own conclusions.
