As to Pantheism, I think Emerson ended up being the ultimate example of this belief system.

My opinion too. Emerson is a favorite of mine. His transcendentalism is misunderstood as reaching out for a "beyond" -- a loop-hole in the cause-effect machine. That single essay, "Over-soul," (Upanishad influence) stands in the way of many readers ... prevents them from reading some of Emerson's more realist-oriented essays. Interestingly, it was Emerson's "Over-soul" which inspired Nietzsche's atheistic "Ubermensch." Emerson's "transcendentalism," imo, is more real than most realists'.
