rusty; you are trying to brush over the above very controversial statement by simply proclaiming it to be a fact. are you aware that many, perhaps most, priest and preachers of christianity concede that the writings of paul/saul of tarsus and the 4 gospels are not contemporary accounts? are you aware that for some time now, many of the worlds greatest bible scholars, men who could read the ancient languages themselves, who made a thorough study of the cultures in which the bible was written, have come to the conclusion that little or no evidence exists to support the gospels? are you aware that up til the time of constantine christianity was just another struggling cult and that thereafter, for a period of 12 centuries or more it was propagated by terrorism torture and murder? i think you have a real education before you if you will just make an objective study of the available evidence.
