What is your definition of an historical character/figure, real or not? It seems to me the only criteria needed is to be from history. It doesn't matter.
Just forget the Jesus question. I'm wondering if the Jesus thing is a stumbling block at this point.
Show me how you'd prove George Washington was a real person in history. That's what's in question here. Why should I believe George Washington was the a real person? I want to be convinced. Pretend I'm skeptical about his existence despite what I've heard about him.
I would really appreciate an honest approach to this problem.
