I have just finished reading every single post made by Blue and the responses by others to his posts on this BB. Using my god-given gift of reason I have assertained that Blue is an idiot.
No amount of evidence or reason will get him to jump off of his turn-table of dogma. The man could talk in circles and apologize for every mistake in his grand Bible to no end. Even though his arguements are fruitless and can only be seen as logical if one operates on a faith built around falsehoods, he continues to argue his stance.
Blue, do all Christians a favor and shut up. You are only disproving your faith by trying to misrepresent it and its falsehoods which have been clearly documented with each passing age of mankind.
Wake up and smell the coffee. Your Bible is false. It is not based on fact. It is a myth. It is full of hate, fear, discontent, greed, lust, and many other foul behaviors...which are all attributed to your Christian God. Sure, if you sift through everything that is distasteful you may find an ounce of goodness. A copy of the Jeffersonian Bible will prove that...but I warn you, it is a much lighter read then your conventional Bible.
You could learn from your own words. I think it is you that seriously needs to sit down and read each passage again and think about what they all mean as a whole. What is the big picture that your Bible says about God? If it is too hard a task for you I will give you the jist of it in one question:
"Who wants a father like that?"
I would rather not have a father who feeds small children to a bear just because they made fun of a prophet. Or a God who murders entire worlds because his feelings get hurt. Or a God who creates wars and chooses which of his children to allow to survive based on trivial notions of loyalty and obediance. I forgot...were you a Christian or a Satanist? The two are so easily confused...they seem to work off of the same text.
