This gem comes from The Book of Mormon Answerman, who receives a question and answers it. For your amusement:

Being a somewhat new convert, I have a question dealing with the Creation. I believe in
the literal translation of the creation of man and beast as in the scriptures, but I'm not
sure how dinosaurs tie into it. Dinosaurs are said to have roamed the earth about the time
that it was created, but is there any place in the scriptures that could point to that? How
does their existence tie in with man's? Could it be that while Adam and Eve lived in the
Garden of Eden (no one knows exactly how long they were there) that dinosaurs were on
the earth? Maybe that is how man survived when the supposed meteor hit the earth and
killed off everything. Just wondering! Thanks for all of your effort in answering all of our
questions! - Rorie Kirk :)

Rorie:
The Book of Mormon teaches that death enters into the world at the Fall of Adam
(see 2 Nephi 2:22). Modern Apostles and Prophets also back up this viewpoint
explicitly in teaching of the Fall. It is very clear from the teachings of Lehi in this
scripture, that all things would have remained in the same state after they were
created, if he had not partaken of the fruit. This means that the dinosaurs would not have died
before the fall, but would have remained in the same state "in which they were after they were
after they were created."

There is a scripture in the Bible that uses the word "behemoth" (see Job 40:15-24) which means
any creature or thing of monstrous size or power. (Random House Webster's College Dictionary
1996)

I like these scriptures in Job that seems to describe a dinosaur if one is looking for it:
Job 40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach
[unto him]. 23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up
Jordan into his mouth.

Seems like a dinosaur!

So what does this mean then? If true, that the common theories of man concerning the demise of
the dinosaurs, when it happened, etc. would not be true. Man has forever doubted the things of
God, the miraculous stories of the Bible, and has tried to explain them away. The flood seems
impossible to these, so an alternative explanation is fabricated. The story of Adam and Eve seems impossible, so it is explained away as "symbolism" or a "myth." And the City of Enoch being translated to heaven seems impossible, so the explanations come. There is an explanation for how the dinosaurs died after Adam fell. We will yet hear it.
