Normally I don't respond to such things as this topic,
but we just had someone from the Mormon church come into our
religious experience class the other night claiming that the
Lamanites were the principla ancestors of the American Indian.
I beg to differ. My Native American ancestors did not come
from these so-called Lamanites. They came across the Bering
land bridge, down through what is now known as Alaska and
Canada, and into the Great Plains area of the United States.
From there the breakup into the various Native American
nations occurred, with some going eastward, others going
west coast, and the rest staying in the Great Plains area.
