: : ok. you say that there's so much evidence that evolution occured? take Neanderthal Man. "The find was a skull and bones. He was portrayed as a semi-erect brutish subhuman, it is believed to be now that this "man" was person who suffered from rickets caused by a lack of Vitamin D.
: : Piltdown Man was found in England by Charles Dawson. The find was part of a skull and a few teeth. It was dated between 500 and 750 thousand years old. In 1950 the bones where examined by fluoride tests and were a hoax. The skull was stained with iron salts and the teeth were siled down to give the appearance of age. The find was the doctored remains.
: : Peking Man was found near Peking China in 1912. they found 30 skulls and 147 teeth. It was found in 1941 by US Marines. It is now believed the remains were of some large monkeys and baboons killed and eaten by ancient workers in a lime burning quarry.
: : Nebraska Man was found in 1922. The find was one tooth. It was declared by Dr. H.F. Osborn to be the missing link. It was discovered in 1927 to be the remains of a PIG!!!!

: (eman) Please, if you feel a need to attempt to discredit scientific data, try to focus on information a little more current. Also link to www.talkorigins.org for information on evolution. Unfortunately, I am most likely wasting my time, because I have the perception that you are what I refer to as a "true believer". Those in that category have such an enthusiasm for the myths of the Bible that they will always be unable to consider anything that contradicts them, irregardless of the quantity and quality of the scientific data available. Would it be of any value to you if I were to mimic your methods and list all the failures and foibles of your religion and religious leaders throughout history. But you are probably well educated enough to have learned of the atrocities, tortures, injustices, prejudice, murder, and destruction of peoples and their civilizations and religions, all in the name of your Christian God. But, should I allow this information, as you have with your limited information on evolution that you list, totally color my judgement concerning Christianity? Should I assume that because of their bloody history that Christianity is a hateful and evil institution, not to be believed or followed??
(John) Although you know that I agree with her on the evolution idea, hoaxes and mistakes unfortunately taint the Christian community too. Those who do these things do them for the same reasons as those who attempt to deceive the scientific community: attention and money.
