This is not true. A true statement would be "evolutionists consider Australopithecus africanus (or afarensis) to be ancestral to man. Robustus has always been considered an evolutionary dead end".

I strongly suggest that if you really want to examine the issue you do more than read a few web pages. There are numerous book length accounts which will provide more thorough and well-researched information.
