First, let me explain why some posts are occasionally edited by me. When a particular post fits in well with something else I have on the site I like to connect the pages so that someone reading up on one issue can find most of the places on the site that make reference to the issue. That is one of the main reasons I forked over $100 to set up the board. I couldn't do that with the old board.
Your post fit in well with that page and with my page on Book of Mormon Questions so the three pages are now interconnected.
If anyone takes offense to the procedure, please let me know and I will not do it on your posts. I don't do any textual editing. The only changes I will ever make are adding additional links.
I'd like to know who the former Mormon scientist is and who the mormon is, if that is available, whatever other contextual background would be nice too. How do I get at it?
I removed people's names when I used to work on the archive to protect the innocent (and guilty). This particular person didn't mind my using his name so I'll link you to his posts at the bottom of this message. You should be able to find the complete context there.
Incidentally, I have read, "Quest for the Gold Plates" because of your review. Simple and to the point; that's how I like it. Is there any info on the where abouts of Ferguson's supposed manuscript?
