This amendment may very well not pass legal muster with the Supreme Court depending on how many justices dissent, but the opinion of Chief Justice William Rehnquist has me worried. When the Chief Justice condemns the usage of the phrase "separation of church and state" then stating that it should be "frankly and explicitly abandoned", does this mean the Judiciary is laying the groundwork for a shift to a theocratic form of government? Suffice to say it got my attention.
