:hi fishfeet. i know your cousin, pigswings. aside
from that i see you are soliciting input on tele-
scopes. even though you didn't ask me, i will
give you my thoughts. i have had my scope just
since february. it is a 7 inch f 5.6 reflector on
a dobsonian mount. there are good things to be said
for this type scope. it is light, and very easy
to take out of the house and set up in the
driveway. i have a telrad zero magnification
finder. this works well if you are viewing at low
elevations, but at high elevations ( scope angle
i mean) it is difficult to get my head down to
sight through it.

i think if i had it to do over, which i will any-
way, i would go nothing less than 10 inch with
setting circles. an equatorial computerized
motorized mount would be nice, but bear in mind,
it is not nearly so portable as the dobsonian. i
hope this has been helpful to you. i have enjoyed
my scope very much and hope to continue doing so.
feel free to e-mail me if you would like to dis-
cuss it any further.
