Obviously the examples I've given are inadequate to make the larger point. I can only add two points. One, many of the realted myths tell markedly different stories literaly, they only use the same mythic symbolism, Creators/saviors being born or buried and resurected in caves, serpents, common numerology (seven, three, 40 days and nights), arks carrying the "seed" of life, saviors bound in stone (Prometheus Bound, etc., etc., etc., and they also follow the same mythic sequence. The story of Christ is much too different "literally" to be a similar "historical" event. Two, the original myths that are mentioned in the book (particularly that of Horus) predate the Hebrews (and the supposed time of Christ) by thousands of years.
The main point of Graham's book is that the Jews, Moslems and Christians make these stories out to be devine revelations to their respective racial inheritors, and thus have oppressed reason and intelligent discoure in defense of their unconscious deception.
