I have found that it is virtually impossible to obtain an impartial view anything from any author, because anyone writing something has some reason to write it and will present information in such as way as to arrive at the conclusion they have already formed. That does not mean I don't read anything. It means that I read to find out what was there rather than what they believe is there. You might be surprised at just how little is grist and how much is interpretation of the grist.
: : I have met very few who believe that a Creator began the process, and then let the kettle boil on its own. (NB: This relates to one of your questions regarding theories, RPCman.)
: Perhaps you should read Behe or the recent work of Denton. Both have come to realize that evolution by natural selection has and does occur. Even when Denton wouldn't admit to macro-evolution (which he now does) he was at least honest enough to admit that speciation has been observed in the wild. To save their god, Behe, and later Denton, put an intelligent designer on the front end of abiogenesis and pretend that their "intelligent designer" guides some natural selection processes (by giving lobsters great eyes and forcing many humans to wear glasses I suppose).
: It is apparent now (finally) that you are a true-blue creationist. I'm not sure why you didn't just come out and say so.
If by saying that I am a "true-blue creationist" in the sense that the inception did not happen spontaneously, you are correct. If you mean that all is now as it was then, you are incorrect. If you are mean that I believe that stands Man unique in the order of existence, you are correct. If you mean I believe that God has a hand in directing the course of all existence, you are incorrect. If you mean that I do not believe that anything can become anything else given enough time, you are correct. If you mean that I believe sentience is more than bioelectric impulses between neurons, you are correct. If you mean I believe that the ultimate destiny of all existence is predestined, you are incorrect. I have yet to see any term or expression outside of pure mathematics that consistent and true for all cases and circumstances (especially those that have been around for quite a while and have acquired all manner of secondary connotations through casual usage - "Christian", "charity", and "liberal" are three examples).
: Although you claim that I merely "stare at the words" of your posts, I actually do read them. After I asked you what your theory was you stated, "I have theories, not a theory." You followed this up with about a dozen questions which still didn't define your "theories". You also included, "I see no difference in creationism/evolutionism." I have no idea what you mean by this. It certainly doesn't define your "theories".
I did not mean to say that I could see no difference between the views of creationism and evolutionism. I was referring to the fact that opposing views such as creationism and evolutionism need not automatically fully deny the validity of the other. As I have stated before, and actually have done elsewhere in the past (non-Internet), I could as easily take the Evolutionism side and question the deficiencies of Creationism that you yourself have raised, as well as a few of my own that no one else has yet. On this bulletin board it appears that the majority are pro-evolution, however, and it seems to me that it is always more enlightening to call into question the views and reasonings of the majority. Consequently I choose to take the side of Creationism even on the points in which it cannot fully explain the way things are (short of saying "God made it that way" or "That has to be determined by faith rather than reason" which I refuse to do). If a lot more Creationists and fewer evolutionists start posting I'll probably start questioning their views and reasons, although with the number of religious bulletin boards available I'd probably go there instead.
