: Thanks for the review, comments, and information
Carlos. I haven't actually read the book you
refer to yet (the description on the site is from
the publisher), although I've yet to hear anyone
give a less than favorable review. I'm currently
reading a textbook on the subject,
Evolution,
by Mark Ridley. I'm only about 100 pages into it
(total is over 700 pages) but it, too, makes the
point clear that saying "Evolution is *only* a
theory" a laughable statement.

I don't think it's a laughable statement.

1. What predictions can you make with that theory?

2. Describe an experiment that shows evolution
happens so my buddies and I can replicate it,
watch it, make our own observations and see if
they match yours.

3. That experiment should be repeatable for
anyone who wants to try it under controlled
conditions.

I largely believe in evolution but it's
not predictable enough to call it anything more
than a theory.

:The countless
examples, clear presentation, and numerous
illustrations make it a great addition to the
bookshelf--even if it looks strange having a
textbook amongst all the others.

It wouldn't look strange next to my collection
of countless, clearly presented testimonials of
the supernatural.
