My understanding of Chaos Theory is that there IS order in "Chaos". Mo matter how much "free agency" is supposedly in the system (like the behavior of people investing in the stock marked) fractal patterns will tend to emerge from random events. Perhaps Chaos Theory may explain consciousness. Consciousness is the ordered pattern that emerges from the extreemly complex physiology of the brain. Chaos Theory, like Superstring Theory, is something I'm not sure I perfectly understand, but what I do understand seems to make a lot of sense.
