Quantum systems (everything, including humans, is a quantum system) have a finite number of quantum states and can undergo only a finite number of quantum state changes in any unit of time. While the upper bounds of the number of states and state transitions are HUGE, they are nonetheless finite. Therefore, humans can be generalized as computing machines -- albeit very, very complex computing machines. These bounds are called Bekenstein bounds after Jacob Bekenstein.
While it's true, we have a only a glimmer of an idea of how the brain makes a mind, we can be sure that the brain can be exhaustively described by its quantum states. And all the things that a mind can think and feel and cause to happen, are products of the state its in from one moment to another.
