I enjoy your good nature. I also think you need to read the Bible a bit more slowly the third time through :-). Jesus definitely changed the world in a big way, but only in a submissive (to the Father) way. He certainly could have messed up some Romans and Pharisees in a hurry, had He so desired. Instead His model was that of a servant. My main point is that the disciples preached following Jesus, not changing the world.
As J. V. McGee once said,
"We are called to fish, not clean the fishpond."
Maybe when we take that walk through the New Testament together we can point to the sights along the way. I think so far I've had the benefit of better tour guides who have helped me see things for myself a bit more clearly.
