That is an excellent article Carlos. It only scratches the surface that Guth and Reese go into in their books. The problem with their books is that Guth's is very difficult to understand in many respects and Reese glosses over inflation to such an extreme that the reader doesn't understand inflation any more than they can after just reading the USNews article.
Perhaps your job, Carlos, is to write a comprehensible book on the inflation that occured in our Universe. ;)
