: : What do you do if you fall in love with a TBM?
: : What to do if you are in a relationship with a TBM and the truth would kill
: : them?
: Are you sure, beyond any doubt, that you have found Truth? If so, it is that person's eternal destiny at stake and you will be restless with the desire to share that Truth with someone you love.
: Most people on this BB, however, seem to have been taught a deception, believed it, and then assumed that all religion is false because of their experience with a false religion. The result is usually either sinicism or apathy. If this is the case with you, there is no way of telling whether your significant other is better of with his/her current misconception or with another.
: Are you sure you have Truth?
: Is it completely unethical to keep quiet? Or should one subversively

: I doubt subversion would be beneficial under any circumstances. Be forthright in a loving manner.

BLUE, YOUR POINT IS WELL TAKEN. HOWEVER, MY APPROACH IS NOT ONE OF
CYNICISM NOR APATHY. I HAVE A CLOSE FRIEND IN THIS
SITUATION. HE DOESNT BELIEVE, SHE DOES. HE IS FINDING
IT VERY DIFFICULT TO LIVE WHAT HE BELIEVES TO BE
A LIE. "TRUTH" TO HIM IS NOT NECESSARILY AN ABROGATION
OF ALL RELIGIONS AND A SLIPPERY SLOPE INTO APATHY.
TO LIVE HIS "TRUTH" IS TO REJECT HERS. IT IS COMPLICATED AND MESSY.
I THINK IN MY OWN CASE THAT MY RELEASE OF MORMONISM
TAUGHT ME THAT SPIRITUALITY IS NOT PREDICATED ON
BELONGING TO A RELIGION. THAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON
OF THE MORMON EXPERIENCE. DO I HAVE TRUTH? SOME, MAYBE
A FEW PORTIONS, AND I AM STILL SEARCHING...BUT I DO
KNOW WHERE "TRUTH" HAS BEEN MISREPRESENTED.
I ALSO THINK IN YOUR ANSWER THAT YOU ASSUME THE PERSON
WHO IS IN THE CHURCH CANNOT HANDLE A REJECTION OF THEIR
PERCEIVED "TRUTH" AND THAT THEY WOULD BE BETTER OFF
REMAINING DECIEVED THAN TO EMBARK ON A CYNICAL QUEST OF
RELIGIONS OUTSIDE THE CHRISTIAN SPECTRUM. I DISAGREE.
YOU SOUND THE CYNIC.
RESPECTFULLY, THOR.
